A Reliable Way to Keep Your Environment Bacteria-Free
The ULV sprayers are an alternative to the electrostatic disinfectant sprayer used for disinfecting. Although the ULV technology has been around for more than four decades and is used readily in farms and by the agricultural industry, it is now being used in offices for health and safety.
The Ultra Low Volume (ULV) spraying system is also used with aerial sprayers for treating large areas from bacteria, germs, dust, and viruses.
How does it Work?
The technology works by emitting a mist. The ULV sprayingmachines generate a mist/fog of ULV droplets between 5 and 50 microns (μm) in diameter. This droplet size is ideal as it neutralizes and easily tackles dust, fungus, pests, bacteria, and pathogens.
Moreover, the formulations are applied in 10 to 90 percent concentration and at flow rates of around 0.5 liters/minute and 30 liters/hour. Once the mist is emitted from the ULV spraying machine, the micro-droplets remain in the air for approximately 10 minutes. This further helps them reach to the most difficult areas where traditional cleaning and disinfectants can’t reach.
It’s important to understand that pathogenic microbes like fungi, bacteria, and viruses are the main reason for airborne and direct contact diseases that affect humans. However, the use of disinfectants in aerosol or sprayers like the ULV spraying system can dramatically lower the number of viable infectious pathogens-producing microdroplets in the air and difficult-to-reach places.
The ULV Sprayers vs. Conventional Disinfectant Sprayers
The conventional sprayers disinfect less effective in comparison to the Ultra Low Volume technology. This is because the traditional sprayers available in the market spray larger droplet sizes ranging between 100 and 200 microns. Due to this, the droplets don’t fully cover the whole area being sprayed. To disinfect effectively, the size of the droplets should be as small as the ULV droplets for deep and targeted penetration.
Besides this, conventional disinfectant sprayers are labor-intensive and very time-consuming, whereas the ULV spraying system is easy to use.
Moreover, the ULV sprayer is more cost-efficient and effective than conventional, outdated cleaning methods. Not only will you get the best results with the ULV sprayer, but you can also eliminate the risk of cross-contamination of surfaces.
Conventional disinfectants leave surfaces wet for a long time and you are forced to wipe them using a cloth. This increases the risk of cross-contamination. However, when you use the ULV sprayers, you don’t have to worry about cross-contamination. All you have to do is simply spray it and walk away.
The ULV Sprayers— Available in Different Sizes and Shapes
Available in different shapes and sizes, the ULV sprayers are designed for multi-purpose and for a variety of applications. Each type is best for different application environments. Before you make your selection, consult us about the size and shape of the ULV sprayer. We will discuss your needs and usage requirements and accordingly guide you and help you choose the best one.
In general, these sprayers are handheld devices where smaller ones are ideal for smaller areas like:
- Office cubicles
- Restaurant tables
- Cars, etc.
On the other hand, the large-sized ULV Sprayers/sprayers are ideal for large areas. For example,
- Large office spaces
- Fire departments
- Police departments
- Areas with large seating arrangements, etc.
