What is a ULV (Ultra Low Volume) fogging system?

We have all opened our eyes to different types of disinfection solutions. Technology has realized different systems that are both effective and easy to use. Disinfectant fogging has been around for a very long time. It was used in farms, fog machines at large gatherings and now for disinfecting for our health and safety. ULV (ultra-low volume) fogging equipment is used for the application of disinfectants, biocides, fungicides and pesticides. The ULV application processes is a well-established method used for over 40 years in the agricultural industry. It is also used with aerial sprayers because large areas can be treated with a rapid response using very little solution.  ULV application tackles bacteria, viruses, germs and dust on surfaces it contacts and the surrounding air.

ULV fogging machines generate a fog or micro-mist formed of Ultra Low Volume (ULV) droplets between 5-50 microns (μm) in diameter. Studies have shown that droplets of this size will effectively neutralize bacteria, viruses, germs, dust and fungus and other viable pathogens. The microdroplets float in the air for around 10 minutes after application, reaching the most inaccessible parts where conventional cleaning & wiping, or spraying, can’t reach.

ULV disinfectant foggers come in different shapes and sizes, and each type is best for specific application environments. Please consult with us about which size and shape will work best for you. All our ULV disinfectant foggers are handheld, the smaller ones are better for smaller areas, such as restaurant tables, cars, buses, office cubicles etc. While the larger are more suited for larger areas like hockey rinks, larger offices, fire departments, police department, gyms etc.
